Enlight organized the first workshop on Asset Management 2.0

Asset Management 2.0: let's start the discussion!
This morning, we held the first session of a cycle of workshops aimed at discussing the new requirements for asset management activities in the new generation of PV assets.
Some key takeaways:
- In the new context, characterized by greater complexity, asset management is no longer a commodity. It is a strategic activity capable of generating value during the operational phase.
- It is important to identify partners who can combine critical competencies, with expertise in BESS, agricultural management, and energy markets.
- Revenue management is now an essential element. Dynamic asset management is required to (i) proactively manage the “merchant” portion to better capture market opportunities and (ii) periodically verify the accuracy of invoices.
- Currently, there are no specific insurance policies for agri-PV plants. Key stakeholders (insurance advisors, companies, farmers, and PV producers) need to initiate a dialogue to explore suitable solutions.
- Some new critical legal requirements are emerging for agri-PV plants, including (i) evidence of adherence to the 80% production target, (ii) new health and safety requirements, and (iii) the regulation of farmers’ contractual obligations to comply with the prescriptions set in the authorization.
- Agricultural activity requires specialized and structured counterparts to be properly managed and create a profitable business line.
Thank you to the panelists - Dario Gallanti, Giacomo Gelmetti, Renzo Latorre, Felice Basile, Nicola Scardigno, Marco Maggioni, Daniele Bovolenta, Maria Sabella and Emilio Sani - for their pragmatic approach and for fostering a very constructive dialogue.
Thanks also to all participants for their attentive contributions and to our Giorgia Latte for her precious support in organising the event!
