Today we congratulate Chiara Tamponi, a student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cagliari who was awarded the scholarship made available by our group, on her graduation with full marks. 

Through her thesis, she carried out a very detailed and in-depth work of comparative analysis on an advanced agrivoltaic plant that we are developing in Sardinia.

The benefits of the integration between energy and agricultural production were highlighted through a comparison with a "traditional" plant. It emerged that advanced agrivoltaics (in addition to allowing land not to be taken away from agricultural activity) represents a valid alternative from the point of view of specific yield and employment effects. 

We take this opportunity to thank the University of Cagliari who allowed us to carry out this initiative, prof. Daniele Cocco, supervisor of the thesis, for his valuable support and Rosella Manconi and Carla Uccheddu from our team who provided excellent inputs to Chiara on her challenging but rewarding task!
